Well I feel like I have the best job in the world. Really! Where else can you hang out with beautiful babies all day and be silly and make them laugh? Especially when it is your own child you are photographing. Well, my sweet Brinleigh was turning 5 (can you believe it?), and this Momma HAD to take some photos to mark the occasion.
We had talked about taking her photos for a couple of days, and she wanted to have the perfect dress for her pics. It just happened that I had ordered her a dress for out beach pictures last fall that she never got to wear. So, I busted that baby out, and she was in love. She said it made her feel like a princess. Done!
Now to find the perfect location for Little miss 5 going on 15. We talked about a downtown, urban vibe. We talked about the playground, the lake, the museum, and you know which location this little princess decided she wanted? Our back yard! Well that certainly is easy enough. We waited until right before sunset, my favorite time to take pictures, and headed outside. There is a pretty little apple tree near our property, and it was bathed in the perfect amount of sunlight, so we headed that way.
“Mommy can I have a flower out of the tree?” She said. Well of course you can. So my little flower held her flower and took some beautiful 5 year photos. We laughed, we made silly faces, we twirled, and this Momma’s heart was happy.
